Raya Sarontino grew up in Lucerne (Switzerland). In Summer 2002 she passed the Matura exams at Kantonsschule Luzern with main subject music. One year later Raya moved from Switzerland to London to go to Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where she gratuated 2006 with the BA (Hons) in Performing Arts (musical theatre option) and changed her stage name from Raya Krähenbühl to Raya Sarontino.
After an acting job in a TV advert and a couple of smaller concerts and projects, Raya's next stop was Seoul (South Korea), where she worked for 12 months as a production singer in the musical show 'Subway', featured by the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel.
She now lives in London again.
